There are legendary ships of war, and then there is the Left-Handed Fate. A Baltimore-built topsail schooner, she was a licensed letter-of-marque during the reign of George III, first under the command of Captain Richard Bluecrowne, late of His Majesty’s Navy, and then by his daughter, the redoubtable Captain Melusine Bluecrowne. We are delighted to provide this architectural drawing of the Fate, which we have reason to believe may have been made by Lucy Bluecrowne herself.
